Actor Rejects Anti-Vaccine Stance After Voicing Controversial Covid Documentary

The acclaimed actor has given his narration to a recent film that challenges the efficacy of immunizations and commends former government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Disputed Foundation

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a well-known publication co-authored by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the global outbreak for allegations that the illness was caused by a bad strain of the influenza shot.

Her co-author, the executive producer, has also written books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. He took to social media celebrating Neeson's involvement in the project.

A Firm Denial

A spokesperson for Neeson have provided a response strongly denying claims that he holds anti-vax views.

"Many recognize that misconduct might be present within the medical sector, but that cannot be confused with opposition to vaccines," the comment states. "Liam has never been, and remains not, against vaccines. His extensive work with the global charity reinforces his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response noted that the actor did not shape the project's editorial content and that questions about its claims ought to go to the creators.

Central Assertions In the Film

In the film, the narration spoken by Neeson includes several strong claims:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
  • It posits that "science has become highly politicized."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed claiming, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • The film also criticizes Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused severe distress that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Regarding the immunizations, it mentions a report that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Controversy and Ongoing Disputes

The film further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was afterwards the topic of a correction by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, Kennedy instructed the CDC to change its long-held position that there is no link between vaccines and autism. This claim is repeated in the documentary, despite a recent study from the World Health Organisation stating no such link has been found.

A Past Record of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the documentary's message, Neeson has previously shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," adding that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script stating, "This marks not the conclusion of our story. This is the beginning of a new chapter."
