LA Explodes in Jubilation as Dodgers Claim Back-to-Back World Series Championship
Los Angeles witnessed widespread festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Fans across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local events featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an translator.
The parade route concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Festivities started prior to the procession, with Dodgers fans lighting fireworks in the streets of the city center on Sunday night.

The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
