Uche Ignites Dominant Palace Win at Shelbourne.
Even though entering their maiden European adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting at a rapid pace. Without star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a commanding win that all but guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight entry to the last 16, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Moment
This match provided a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second game in match.
The Shelbourne side that had concluded their league season proved outmatched even for a largely second-string Palace outfit. The visitors were already weakened by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with knee problems.

The match was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
